Rites
of Passage
A community celebration
Spring once again is approaching.
Gather
with other like-minded souls to connect to community to celebrate
our sacred Earth with ritual, dance, drum and song.
Connect with our ancestors, walk in the way of the ancients
and create new directions for ourselves.
Celebrate with others who walk this earthpath and witness
their transition in their Rite of Passage.
Its a magical ceremony involving a sense of transition
or self-transformation.
The initiate prepares him/herself, in a community of peers,
and prepares to enter into a new higher ground.
This is the Rite of each spring in our lives,
this celebration and renewal of our connection to all things
is a source of inspiration and nutriment.

I
would like to invite you to join us in this years celebration
of lifes passages. You may know us from our drumming; drum building,
or other workshops.
You are cordially invited to attend this Rites of Passage Ceremony
welcoming fine girls and women as we recognize their new spiritual
attunement. They walk in as their old child and on this day they will
leave as the architects, defenders, healers and future mothers of
our community. This is their day, showing their strength and courage
and their dedication to life.
Last year we began the Rites of Passage because of a need, we had
several parents who wanted one for their boys. In 2003, we created
a vehicle that we can use to recognize our like-minded, earth-spirit
friends as they transition into one of lifes new phases. Whether
its the birth of your child or birthing into adulthood, whether
its marriage or divorce, entering elder hood or awaking to a
dream. Theses times can be traumatic and joyful. These feelings need
to be shared witnessed and celebrated.
This year we are expanding that concept and are recognizing young
girls and women of all ages in their transition.
Welcome them so we can know them and they can know us.
This is their day, showing their strength and courage and their dedication
to life. |

We
hope that you will join us for what promises to be a joyful and wondrous
Rites of Passage. We now have 2 women and 4 young girls who want to
be initiated.
You can come as an initiate, and experience the power of the experience.
You can come as a village organizer and help build the ritual and
setting to make this dream a reality.
You can come as a village supporter and bear witness to the initiates
transformation.
This is a community-building event in which you play a vital part.
It is a part of our greater vision that we come together and celebrate
these life changes in each other. By lending support to others in
these times of transition, we will in an important way be helping
to end our sense of fragmentation and isolation that we all feel from
time to time.
By lending our support we can help each other tap into their talents
and resources that each of us uniquely has inside us.
By lending our support we will help each of us nurture the gems of
our Self, our Community Treasure Chest.
